Meet The Designer

My name is Anbrea, and I reside in the state of Minnesota. I’ve never lived in one city for more than two years of my life, so I don’t claim a specific hometown. When people ask me where I’m from, I sometimes say "everywhere" to keep the conversation short. I grew up in the foster care system, and my guardian was my first and most profound inspiration for 15yrs of my life. She raised me for 15 years, and her work as a seamstress shaped the foundation of my journey into fashion as a designer. Long live her, as she is no longer with us. Her legacy continues to inspire me every day.

My journey into fashion began in 2017 when I officially founded Anbiòn. Although my visions were not as clear back then, those early days were pivotal in shaping the designer I am today. In 2021, I embraced a significant rebrand to focus on streetwear and couture, reflecting my growing confidence and refined vision for the brand. This evolution marked a turning point, as I committed to creating clothing for men, women, and kids, pieces that embody both style and substance.

I’ve recently reimagined not just my business but also myself, channeling my creativity into designing clothing that reflects my personal style and vision. Starting with streetwear, which matches how I like to dress every day, I’m working toward creating couture pieces that take my designs to the next level. Anbiòn represents a premium luxury brand, blending modern trends with timeless style to create unique fashion that speaks to individuality.

Where did the name Anbiòn come from?

The name “Anbiòn” combines my name, Anbrea, with “ion,” a nod to my interest in science and the idea that ions (fundamental building blocks of matter) symbolize the essence of our being. I also wanted a name that is visually appealing. My middle name, Passion, highlights my love for what I do. As a mother, I strive to be the best example for my daughter, who shares my love for the arts. Watching her explore creativity brings me immense joy and reminds me of my own artistic beginnings.

What is fashion to me?

Fashion, to me, is more than just clothing; it’s an expression of my identity and a tribute to my creative roots. My love for designing is deeply rooted in who I am, and I am driven to create with the same enthusiasm that shaped my childhood. I believe that everyone has their own unique style and perspective on life, and I am dedicated to celebrating that individuality through my work.

What is the goal?

The goal of my brand is to get scouted by a designer or artist who can coach me on today's fashion styles. I want to build a meaningful outlet that keeps me engaged while creating a strong foundation for my child. It's also my way of giving back to those who, like me, grew up navigating the challenges of social services and foster care.
